As the weather turns to colder most people start looking for their favorite warm drinks. Unfortunately, a majority of them are made with less than ideal ingredients and loads of sugar. And if you’re dairy free like us finding something that’s got good ingredients, not too much sugar, and that tastes great can be hard to find.
Over the years I have been slowly perfecting my dairy free hot chocolate recipe and have even been able to come up with a pretty good tasting peppermint hot chocolate. It’s simple to make and is made with real food so it’s actually very beneficial.

Also keep in mind that while this hot chocolate is made with real food, whole ingredients and uses pure maple syrup it is still a treat. Natural sugars like maple syrup and undoubtedly better for you but it’s still surgar and should be eaten in moderation.
